Athlete Code of Conduct 2016-2017

Athlete Code of Conduct 2015-2016

Go Team!

What happens in sports happens in life. Sports builds character, teaches problem-solving skills, organizational dynamics, the value of teamwork, dealing with adversity and improves self-esteem. A healthy body must go hand-in-hand with a healthy mind. McAllen ISD offers eight sports for boys and girls in middle school and 12 in high school.

The McAllen Independent School District is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age or disability.

McAllen ISD adopted a Maintenance and Operations tax rate that will raise more taxes for Maintenance and Operations than last year's tax rate.
The Maintenance and Operations tax rate will effectively be raised by 11.67 percent and will raise taxes for Maintenance and Operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $115.00.
While raising the Maintenance and Operations tax rate, the Board of Trustees simultaneously lowered the District’s Debt Service tax rate in an amount equal to the increase on the Maintenance and Operations tax rate.
As a result of the Board’s combined actions, there will be no increase in the District’s overall tax rate for the 2016-17 fiscal year.
