I sent the September calendar on August 25th, but since several posts have been shared afterward, I’m resending it here for your convenience.
Please take a moment to review our September calendar for important dates and information.
We kindly ask for your support in the following:
Appointments: Whenever possible, please schedule appointments after school hours and avoid early pickups. Midday interruptions affect not only your child’s instruction and assessments but also the flow of our daily campus operations. Also, students cannot be picked up after 2:30.
Transportation: For consistency and safety, we ask that students use one primary mode of transportation. If a last-minute change is absolutely necessary (as we understand emergencies do arise), please contact the office directly. Teachers are actively engaged in instruction and may not be able to check messages during the school day. We kindly ask that transportation changes remain the exception rather than the routine.

Our doors open at 7:15 a.m., and students will head to the cafeteria upon arrival.
At 7:35 a.m., students will be guided to their classrooms to enjoy breakfast.
Instruction begins promptly at 7:45 a.m. Let’s make this another amazing year! Goooo Unicorns! 🎉📚
Our staff spent the day collaborating in district grade-level professional development . Every plan, idea, and activity is crafted with one goal in mind—helping our students shine from day one! ✨❤️🦄

Safe & Secure Enrollment Still Open!🦄
This is a friendly reminder that registration for Garza’s Safe & Secure after-school program is still open — but spots are limited!
Safe & Secure is led by our very own teachers and paraprofessionals who already know and care about your children. With principal oversight and the convenience of your child staying on campus, it’s a trusted option for after-school care.
Students also complete their assignments during the program, giving families more quality time together in the evenings.

We’re excited to offer Safe & Secure again this school year! While we know there are other after-school programs available, Garza’s Safe & Secure stands out because it’s run by our very own teachers and paraprofessionals: staff who already know and care about your children.
As your child's school principal, I personally oversee the program to ensure everything runs smoothly and that any concerns are addressed promptly. Your child remains on campus the entire time, giving you peace of mind about their safety.
Another benefit: students complete their assignments during the program, freeing up your evenings for meaningful family time.
