McAllen ISD is proud to announce that all three entries submitted by the district's Marketing & Communications Department to the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards received national recognition.
The district's "Football Night October 2025 – Halloween Edition" earned an Honorable Mention for its creative storytelling and engaging coverage of McAllen ISD athletics and school spirit.
The feature highlighting the Art Pipe dedicated to Deaf Awareness at Escandon Elementary received an Award of Merit, recognizing the meaningful project that celebrates inclusion, creativity, and community pride.
Receiving the highest recognition, the "We Are All In" video was awarded the prestigious Award of Excellence, NSPRA's top honor. The video highlights the dedication of McAllen ISD students, staff, families, and community members working together to support student success.
"We are honored to receive national recognition for our work," McAllen ISD Marketing & Communications Director, Felicia Villarreal, said. "These awards reflect the team's commitment and talent to sharing the stories that make McAllen ISD a special place to learn, grow, and succeed for all."
NSPRA's Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards recognize outstanding education communications materials from school districts and educational organizations across the nation. The awards celebrate excellence in strategic communications, creativity, and community engagement.
