Marketing & Communications produces promotional resources for McAllen ISD. We are the “go-to” source for complete, accurate and timely information about McAllen ISD. We build relationships with the community as a credible, consistent, and transparent source of information regarding McAllen ISD. We tell the District’s story to support the goal of preparing every student to graduate and be college and career ready.
Marketing & Communications provides internal and external communication services to McAllen ISD schools and departments. Special events, media relations, School Board meetings, crisis communications, community relations and the promotion of McAllen ISD are key functions of the team.
The department publishes an electronic newsletter and maintains and updates news and information at www.mcallenisd.org. The department also maintains the District website while producing District videos through MITV (McAllen Instructional Television).
Marketing & Communications manages many annual events to include, Partners in Education Program (PIE), General Assembly, Teacher of the Year, Service Awards, Retirement Banquet and many others.
