On Monday, the District received word it was one of just five nominees in the state for the best Large District in the 17th annual H-E-B Excellence in Education awards. This is a tremendous honor.
It speaks to the hard work put in by teachers, staff and students. Parental support is also a strong contributing factor. In short, everyone working together for the betterment of our community’s children has played a hand.
Officials representing H-E-B will visit our District later this spring to get a first-hand look. They will announce the state winners in late spring. This program began in 2002 in cooperation with TASA (Texas Association of School Administrators). We appreciate H-E-B for all they do to recognize the outstanding work educators are doing across Texas.
A recognition of this caliber is achieved through sustained excellence over a period of years from top to bottom. Congratulations to everyone.
