Congratulations to our 4th & 5th grade Track team on winning 2nd place at today's Elementary Track Meet! The Challengers lit up the scoreboard, placing first in multiple events throughout the day, including the girls 100, 200, 400, and 400 meter relay!
We would like to recognize our UIL Chess Team for a strong performance this weekend at the Regional Chess Championships at Sharyland North Middle School. Our students played 7 games through Saturday and Sunday in an event where over 550 students from over 35 schools from McAllen, Sharyland, and Edinburg competed. All three McAuliffe teams performed in the top half of their sections, with Randen Rodriguez and Jedidiah Rocha winning 14th and 15th place individually. We are very proud of our chess team!
Congratulations to Aaliyah Medrano for competing at the National Punt Pass Kick competition in Las Vegas, Nevada! She is the girls National Runner Up! Aaliyah, a former PPK 2 time National Champion, worked very hard on her skills and performed great this year! We are so proud of you Aaliyah!

Last night was fantastic for our 5th Grade Elevate teams! Our girls soccer team did great with a 4-2 win, while boys basketball won their second game this week, 10-2! Go Challengers!
Last week our lucky 4th graders got the chance to take a tour of UTRGV and attend a Vaqueras Basketball game at the Field House! Students were able to get a glimpse of college life and the beauty of the UTRGV campus.
