The McAllen Independent School District Student Assessment Department’s vision is to provide guidelines and calendar of events for administration and ensure that accurate, timely, and relevant data is available to district and campus administration in order to measure student achievement of academic curriculum and excellence in effective teaching.

The McAllen Independent School District Student Assessment Department’s mission is to maintain the security and confidentiality of the Texas Student Assessment Program, safeguard fair and equal testing opportunities for all students, ensure meaningful and valid test scores and assist each campus in the implementation of the assessment’s program’s requirements at the local level.
The McAllen Independent School District Student Assessment Department’s main goal is to support incident free test administrations that have a positive impact on student performance.
