Parent and Community Center at Navarro Album

The Parent Universities are set up to promote family engagement as a strategy to achieve student academic success and provide parents with resources to create career and college pathways for their children.  The pictures below show the parents who participated in the different universities that took place throughout the school year.

Night Out with Dad was a night to appreciate all the wonderful fathers of McAllen ISD. Below are a few photos of these fathers with their kids celebrating a fun and eventful night they wont forget. 

Click the link for photos of the different job skill classes offered at the Parent and Community Center at Navarro. These classes provide different sets of skills to participants to help them advance in the workforce. 

The McAllen ISD Parent- Student- Community Evening Study Center intent is to provide evening classes for students and their parents. The goal of the program is to provide parents and community members the opportunity to attend English, GED and employment classes while at the same time providing their children with extended day instruction in reading, Math, STAAR/ Homework assistance, and enhancement of self-concept.

The End of the Year Parent Recognition event was held to recognize those parents who participated in the activities that took place at the Parent and Community Center at Navarro. 

Fiesta for Mom was held on Wednesday May 1st, 2019 at Rowe High School from 5 PM to 8 PM. The event focused on sessions that provided strategies on maximizing the engagement of mothers in families and in the lives of their children.   The sessions provided information to all participants in attendance about following a healthy lifestyle and the positive outcomes parent engagement has in children's academic achievement when parents are engaged.
