School Financial Integrity Rating of Texas

The primary goal of School FIRST is to achieve quality performance in the management of school districts’ financial resources, a goal made more significant due to the complexity of accounting associated with Texas’ school finance system. The McAllen Independent School District received  a rating of “A” for “Superior” for 2015 through 2020 under Texas’ School FIRST financial accountability rating system. The “Superior” rating is the state’s highest, demonstrating the quality of the District’s financial management and reporting system.  The District had received a “Pass” rating in 2014, “Superior Achievement” in 2010 through 2013 and received  “Above Standard Achievement” for 2009. From 2002 through 2008, the District also received “Superior Achievement.”
