School Health Advisory Council (SHAC)
The McAllen ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is in place to ensure health-related values are reflected in the district curriculum. Our SHAC prides itself in the representation of parents (not employed by McAllen ISD) on the SHAC team. Each year, McAllen ISD school board members can recommend SHAC members.
