John L. Wilde

John L. Wilde, Director for Student Support Services

A graduate from Raymondville High School in 1986 and the University of Texas Pan American in 1990. Mr. John L. Wilde holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice (Police Administration). After graduation, Mr. Wilde worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer with the Hidalgo County Juvenile Probation Department until 1998 when he joined the McAllen ISD as an Attendance Officer. For the last 15 years, Mr. Wilde has led the Student Support Services Departments as its Director and humble servant to the McAllen ISD Family and Community. "I believe in working together to solve issues that affect our most valuable asset...our students. By working together as a district with our parents and our community, we can ensure that we provide the best education for our students."

Jesus B. Martinez

Jesus B. Martinez, Student Support Officer

A graduate from La Joya High School in 1997 and the University of Texas-Pan American in 2002.  Mr. Jesus Martinez holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology and a Master of Education Degree in Educational Administration. After graduation, Mr. Martinez worked as a high school English teacher for La Joya ISD until 2007 when Mr. Martinez joined McAllen ISD as a Case Manager. Mr. Martinez has worked for McAllen ISD for 13 years and has been in his current position for the past 6 years.I believe education is a life long journey that is constructed by the experiences we confront in our travels encountered with people and situations.”

Stanley Smith

Stanley O. Smith, Student Support Officer

A graduate from Clarksville High School in 1985 and attended Del-Mar College Corpus Christi and Purdue University Global. Mr. Stanley O. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He subsequently joined the McAllen ISD family in 2011 and worked in the Transportation department as a supervisor and eventually earned the role of Asst. Director of Transportation. For the last 8 years, Mr. Smith has worked humbly and proud for the district. Joining the Student Support Services Department, our team explicitly documents our roles and responsibilities to ensure that students and employees are receiving equal support. Meralda Gonzalez

Meralda Gonzalez, Secretary to John L. Wilde

A 2002 Weslaco Panther graduate and resident of Weslaco, TX. Mrs. Meralda Gonzalez started her journey into the medical field and obtained a certification from South Texas College (STC) in Phlebotomy, Electrocardiography, and Patient Care Technician. She then began the Vocational Nursing Program but life took her on a different course. Mrs. Gonzalez then graduated STC with her Associate of Applied Science in Office Management and became working as a secretary for the Early College High School Program. In 2012 Mrs. Gonzalez transitioned from STC to McAllen ISD. She is currently secretary to John L. Wilde, Director of Student Support Services and is pursing her Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership. Mrs. Gonzalez actively serves in her home church of BT and holds various leadership positions there. She is a wife, and a mother to two beautiful girls. "In our family, God is always first. My family is a McAllen ISD family and we wouldn't have it any other way. McAllen ISD is our home."

Delma Ozuna

Delma Ozuna, Student Support Services Clerk

A Mission, TX native and 1980 graduate. Ms. Delma Ozuna attended University of Texas Pan American and graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Ms. Ozuna worked for the Texas Department of Human Services for 14 years. Ms. Ozuna then transferred to the Texas Department of Public Safety with Highway Patrol and dedicated her time for 13.5 years. Ms. Ozuna retired after 27.5 faithful years to the State of Texas. She has worked with the City of Palmhurst Police Department for two years and then transitioned herself to McAllen ISD. Ms. Ozuna is currently the Open Records Clerk for the Student Support Services Department. She is mother to two beautiful girls, proud grandmother to two gorgeous boys and a humble daughter to her father. She enjoys scrapbooking as she preserves her family's memories for her children and grandsons. "Instilling good family values is so important to me and reminding my loved ones that with God everything is possible."
