McAllen ISD will hold graduation ceremonies this week, sending more than 1,500 graduates out into the world to accomplish their dreams.
The ceremonies will take place at the McAllen Convention Center (700 Convention Center Blvd.). Attendees will be in the Convention Center’s Exhibit Hall on the east side of the building. Attendance is free but seating is first-come, first served. Here is the schedule:
Thursday, June 4
Achieve Early College High 10 am
Lamar Academy 2 pm
Memorial High 6 pm
Friday, June 5
Rowe High 10 am
McAllen High 3 pm
The doors will open one hour before the ceremony begins. Also, for the 23rd straight year, each ceremony will be livestreamed on McAllen ISD’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
McAllen ISD does have a clear-bag policy. In addition, objects that will obstruct the views of others due to level seating will not be permitted. Inappropriate items include balloons, noise makers, confetti poppers, streamers, strollers and open flame.
