McAllen High mariachis

Five McAllen High Mariachi Oro members will participate this weekend in the 26th annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza National Vocal Competition!

With a full list of online activities that took place this past week, we are happy to announce that the National Vocal Competition will conclude this year’s one of a kind event featuring 35 vocalists from across the United States that have made it through to the final round.

"We are extremely excited to have had five incredibly talented McAllen High Mariachi students advance to the finals, the most of any school in the nation," Mariachi Oro Instructor Alex Trevino said. "These exceptional young ladies are: Ashley Treviño, Natalie Carmona, Roxeth González, Jenika Montes and Lea García. We wish them the very best in their performance and congratulate them on this outstanding achievement!"

The competition will be streamed live on MariachiMusicDotCom YouTube Channel at 7 pm on Saturday, December 5.
