McAllen High Health Science students take 2nd place at UTRGV competition

 McAllen High Health Science students placed second at the Virtual UTRGV School of Medicine ECAHP Competition in February. 

The students that earned the award are Gianna Aleman, Sophia Newkirk, Eden Williamson, Vivian Tanguma and Emma Reyna.  

“These students were challenged to develop innovative and realistic solutions to health challenges faced by persons living in rural areas of South Texas,” Leticia Pena, McAllen High Health Science Technology Instructor, said. “We are extremely proud of them for a job well done.”
