McAllen ISD’s graduates in the Class of 2021 earned nearly $45 million in scholarship earnings despite a year dealing with hardships brought on by COVID-19.
McAllen ISD’s graduating class earned a collective $44,817,054. That averages out to more than $27,767 per graduating senior.
It is the third straight year McAllen ISD seniors have topped $40 million in scholarship earnings. Over the past five years, McAllen ISD seniors have earned more than $228 million – an average of $45.6 million per year!
McAllen ISD recognized more than 1,600 diploma-candidates during graduation ceremonies held in early June.
