OUR “A” GAME: Our backbone is 112 years of the HIGHEST STANDARDS and BEST TEACHERS – Highly Qualified, Degreed/Certified.  Earning an “A” designation by the Texas Education Agency for two straight years (2018 and 2019).

McAllen ISD teachers have earned 19 State or Regional Teachers of the Year titles in 28 years, the most of any school district in the Region.

Reasons to apply! We know teacher quality is the foundation of successful student learning, so we invest in helping our teachers grow. All new teachers are paired with an experienced mentor during their first year. Along with this, monthly academies provide support and build a camaraderie throughout our district.
