McAllen ISD & Boys and Girls Club Elevate Program
Purpose: McAllen ISD and McAllen Boys and Girls club are partnering up to help McAllen ISD future student-athletes get a head start in athletics in order to prepare them for UIL competition.
Facility Use: 5th and 6th grade elevate will have access to McAllen ISD sports facilities with Principal and Athletic Department, and FMO approval.
Advocates: Campus Principals, PE and Athletic Coaches and Athletic Dept. would need to be actively promoting the program and encouraging kids to participate.
Campus: Every campus should have at least one team representing their school.
Recruiting: The Athletic Department/B&G club will provide flyers to campus Principals and PE Coaches to hand out to students.
Coaches: Elevate team coaches would be employees of McAllen ISD or volunteers that have been vetted through Boys and Girls Club.
