💛 At McAllen ISD, our school nurses are always there with a helping hand and tender loving care, and our school counselors are ready to listen and support when needed. You may have heard of Senate Bill 12. Since Sept. 1, 2025, this law requires parental consent for non-emergency health services at school. This may include:
✔️ Basic first aid
✔️ Counselor meetings
✔️ Health screenings (vision & hearing)
Parents must provide written consent for these services. Without it, schools cannot take action. 👉 Learn more at: www.mcallenisd.org/page/sb12 or contact your child’s school.
