
Attention Families: There will be a 1st and 2nd dose COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children ages 5-11 on Tuesday, December 7. The clinic will take place at the Boys & Girls Club - Brand Center (2620 Galveston, McAllen). Children who received their 1st dose during the November 16th clinic are due for their 2nd dose. It's official! The Administration Board Room is now the Dr. Ricardo Chapa Board Room. Tonight's ribbon cutting included School Board Trustees, leadership and friends & family members of the late Dr. Chapa. Dr. Chapa served for more than 35 years as both an educator and Trustee.

Today parents from our Parental Involvement program stand for their proclamation for National Parent Involvement Day with the McAllen ISD Board of Trustees and Dr. J.A. Gonzalez.


On behalf of the state, Representative Bobby Guerra recognized McAllen ISD’s Jennifer Han for her 2022 Texas Elementary Teacher of the Year award at tonight’s McAllen ISD School Board meeting. Han is the 3rd McAllen ISD teacher to win this award - the most in RGV history!

Tickets purchased online will be $8 for adults and $3 for students. Tickets bought at the gate will be $8 for everyone and only cash will be accepted. There will be an ATM on site. All seats will be general admission. The game will kick off at 3 pm (doors open at 2 pm) on Saturday, Nov. 20 at Cabaniss Athletic Complex (3202 Cabaniss Parkway) in Corpus Christi.

McAllen ISD will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children ages 5-11 on Saturday, Nov. 13 at Achieve Early College High School, 1601 N. 27th St. This free clinic will be from 10 am-3 pm. The doses will be administered by Hidalgo County Department of Health and Human Services. McAllen ISD parents should bring their child's student ID number. Parents from outside McAllen ISD will need proof of their child's age such as a birth certificate. The parent or legal guardian must be with the child for them to receive the vaccine.
Doses are limited so parents may consider arranging for their child's vaccine through their family physician.
